The Sound

Four Sounds.
One Stokes Soul.

Southern Soul has always borrowed from country, gospel, rock and pop. Joe takes that tradition at its word — four sounds, one voice, all heart. Pick a sleeve.

Liner notes

Southern Soul

Front-porch storytelling over a slow-burning groove. The sound of late-night radio, Sunday dinner and a voice that means every word.

The Artist

Meet Joe.

Some artists pick a lane. Joe Stokes Sr. picked a jukebox.

From East Orlando, Joe has spent the last two years building Stokes Music Group into a home for the songs he loves: the slow-burning groove of Southern Soul, the honesty of Country, the hooks of Pop and the backbeat of Rock ’n’ Roll.

This is where he shares it all — the music, the performances and the shows coming up next. If you like your music with a little grit, a lot of heart and a sound that stays with you, pull up a chair. The record’s just getting started.
